We offer the following information to make your Solimar journey positively enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. Feel free to ask questions at any time when booking your appointments and before, during and after services.

for your health

If you do have any health concerns or issues, please feel free to speak with our Director of Wellness as well as your doctor. In particular, please inform us if you are pregnant, recovering from a recent surgery, are injured, have a life threatening illness or other serious medical condition. Your health, safety, and comfort are Solimar's greatest concern so please let us know how we can best accommodate you.

appointments

To reserve a time that is best for you, please call well in advance. It is best to book your next visit at the end of your current session. Same day calls are welcomed and accommodated upon availability. Please let us know if you prefer a female or a male therapist for your service. You may also see our same day appointment availability online at www.solimarspa.com. A credit card number will be required at the time you make an appointment for all spa services, with the exception of most hair services, (please see Solimar's cancellation policy).

Note: If you are pregnant, have an illness, or are seeking Solimar's services for your health, please inform the concierge when making your appointment or schedule a wellness consultation prior to making any service appointments so that we can provide the safest, most appropriate, caring, and effective services possible.

cancellations

To better meet the needs of our clients, we respectfully require a 24-hour cancellation notice for individual services and 48 hours for multiple services. Groups of 2 require a 48-hour cancellation notice and groups of 3 or more with multiple services each require a 7-day cancellation notice.When making a reservation, a credit card number will be required and will incur a 50% cancellation fee if not cancelled within the appropriate notification time.

For your protection, Solimar Gift Cards may not be used to hold appointments. By providing Solimar your credit card information, you are consenting to abide by our cancellation policy. No charges are ever made to your credit card until and unless an appointment is missed or not cancelled with the appropriate notice.

cell phones and pagers

We want you and all of our guests to completely relax during your visit to Solimar. Please turn off all phones and audible pagers while you are in the spa.

check in

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your first appointment and at least 15 minutes prior to subsequent appointments. We do, for most services, request a health history form and other paperwork such as a waxing consent, dosha questionnaire, and personal contact information. You will also have time to relax, change into a robe and slippers, and enjoy some tea.

If you will be late for your appointment, please try to contact us. We will do our best to accommodate you, however, your service may have to be shortened or rescheduled. If it does have to be rescheduled, you will be charged a cancellation fee (50% of the service cost).

children

Solimar offers services for children 13 and above only. Please make arrangements for younger children so that you and the other guests may completely relax during your visit. Certain services may require a signed Parental Consent Form prior to a teen receiving a service.

gratuity

Gratuities are appreciated although not expected. If you would like to leave a tip, you may do so with cash, credit card or check as you check out. As a reference only, a typical gratuity ranges from 15-25% of the cost of the services received.

location

Solimar is conveniently located less than one mile east of Yankee Doodle or Pilot Knob Road and 35E in Eagan. One block south of Yankee Doodle Road and Lexington Avenue. Approximately one mile Southeast of 494 and 35E. Twenty minutes from downtown Minneapolis (via 62/55) and 15 minutes from downtown St. Paul (via 35E). Ten minutes from the Mall of America.

therapeutic massage

The only type of massage offered at Solimar is therapeutic massage in a safe and secure environment. All bodywork employees at Solimar are licensed, trained professionals with over 500 hours of formal education in physiology, anatomy, therapeutic massage modalities, ethics, etc. In addition each staff member is First Aid and CPR certified.

Most massage and body therapies are typically performed with a client unclothed and using proper draping at all times. Your comfort and privacy are our top priority. You may undress to your level of comfort.some people do choose to leave their underwear on during services. Your privacy is respected at all times. All jewelry and eyeglasses must be removed during services to promote safety and a more relaxing journey.

Our team of experienced and licensed skin care technicians, bodywork therapists, hair designers, make up artists, and nail care professionals, are ready to guide you on your Solimar beauty and wellness journey. Each Solimar employee is dedicated to working with you to customize a spa visit to meet your needs. To ensure this, we perform a thorough consultation as part of your initial visit to Solimar.

The staff at Solimar works as a team. You may request a particular staff member for your visit, or ask a journey coordinator to refer you to a Solimar staff member who will provide you with excellent service. However, if you do prefer a specific staff member, we do suggest that you pre-schedule your next service at checkout.

payment

We accept Solimar Gift Cards, cash, personal checks, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover Cards, travelers checks, Spa Finder and Spa Wish gift certificates as payment.

what to wear

Solimar guests are provided with a robe, slippers, and personal locker for your belongings. All jewelry should be removed prior to spa treatments. You may leave these items in your locker, bring them into the treatment room, or better yet, leave them at home for the day. Solimar is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

Because your comfort and privacy are our top priority, you may undress to your level of comfort for services. You will be draped at all times, and only the body part being worked on will be exposed.

 

Some services are done with clothing on (Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Zero Balancing, and Auriculotherapy) so please remember to wear loose, comfortable clothing for those sessions.
